The Awesome:
-Downing Atlana Supercharger Kit at 5 psi, makes this car a blast to drive.
-Wilwood front brakes stop it quickly
-BSP Competition Rollbar (soloI, soloII) will save you if flip it over
-Tokico Illumina suspension keeps it handling well
-Plenty of supporting modifications to the super charger:
Water to air Intercooler
Honed Intake manifold
Remote mounted oil filter housing
Oil Cooler
8mm plug wires
Stainless clutch and brake lines
Racing Beat stainless exhaust system
Short Shifter
ACT stage one clutch
Momo Steering wheel
Boost gauge
3" thick folder of maintenance and upgrades over the years.
The car comes with 15x7 Et 26 Fittipaldi wheels with excellent tires and will also include 16x7 SSR integral wheels with good tires if the asking price is met.
The Good:
Recent PA inspection/emissions
Engine Replaced in 2002 (with receipt)
Transmission replaced in 2007 (with receipt)
Original "R" package car. Has the lower lip kit, no power steering from the factory and a few other small changes from the standard miata
The Ugly.
This is why the car is $4500 not $6500..... so please do not lowball me I can and will part out if I don't get what I feel the car is worth.
-The top needs replaced before driving in heavy rain or storing the car outside. The rear window area is pretty much torn out completely. I have a tarp i cover the car with when it needs to sit outside.
-There is a lot of surface rust underneath the car from sitting in a damp area for several years before I took ownership of it. Nothing seems to be rusting through aside from the rear 1 foot of rocker panel just in front of the rear wheels. I would replace the sway bars and subframes before long as a precaution and the Inspection mechanic said he will likely not pass it next year unless they are replaced. I do have both replacement subframes and a new rear sway bar. I believe that one of the front sway bar mounts has broken off of the front subframe since inspection as there is a rattle over bumps that just started and that's what it sounds like. I do not have the desire to do this, so I'm offering the car at the price of your average stock miata.
-Cosmetically the car is rough, paint is faded, one headlight cover is missing, trunk is rusty around third brake light. rockers have rust
-Headlights are aftermarket and while they get the job done they could use some work.
-No Radio, interior is all there but not in the greatest shape
This is a great car to fix up a bit and enjoy on the weekend, beat it to the ground as is, or swap all of the performance parts to a cleaner shell and use this one as a beater.
If you're looking for a pristine Miata look elsewhere, If you want a fun, quick car with out spending the $15K+ that the original owner did to build this one. Here's your chance.
