I have an E36 M3 with 142xxx Miles. This car has been babied I am the 3rd owner and know both owners prior to me. Only real abuse the car saw was track days in its early stages 2nd owner took over at 90k, I took over at 140k. Car is very solid with a lot of proper maintainance done. The miles I have put on it have been by driving it occasionally and let me tell you I love it. Honestly, one of the best cars ive ever driven. Reason for selling is I recently changed jobs and I need a truck for my new job with that being said..here it goes.
1998 BMW E36 M3
-Original color
-Paint is 8.5 out of 10
-Recently did a black restoration 3-Step shine and wax
-Only real problem is acid rain on area of the hood but a professional shop can get rid of it
***Body
-9 out of 10
-No big dents or dings
-Only dent is on pass quarter panel smaller then a cricket
- Depo Headlights with HIDs
- Turner Black Kidney Grilles
***Motor and Transmission
-3.2L Inline 6 with 142xxx miles
- 5Spd Manual
-Oil from all 3 owners changed at 2500 miles using OEM oil filter and Mobil-1 5W-40
-Latest oil change was at 141, 457
-NGK BKR6EQup spark plugs done at 141, 457 along with Bosch connecter boots along with OEM valve cover gasket
-Power Steering line replaced
-New Bosch alternator
-New Battery
- New Bosch O2 Sensor
- New OEM expansion tank
-Tranny and diff fluid changed at 141, 926 using redline MTF
- UUC headers
- UUC cat-back (really throaty)
- Active AutoWerkes Cold Air Intake
- OBD1 M50 Manifold
- Z3 M Short Shifter
- M5 Flywheel and Clutch
- Aluminum T-Stat Housing
- Stewart Water Pump
- All belts and hoses replaced at 120K
- Oil pump nut secured
***Interior
- 9.5 out of 10
- Black Vaders (No rips tears etc)
-Heated both pass and driver work well
-All power options work very well (Mirrors, Seats, Windows)
-Audi Shift Knob
-Alpine Head Unit
-Speakers work good
-Rear seats are immaculate
-Mats and Carpet are clean
-New Headliner Fabric
-Door Panels are on very well
***Suspension
-Koni Yellow with inserts
-Ground control Struts & Shocks
-UUC Sway Bars F&R
-Powerflex Sway bar bushings F&R
-Powerflex Rear Trailing Arm Bushings
-18x8 M Pars all around alright tires
-ABS light on havent figured it out
That about sums it up, car is VERY VERY VERY solid hasnt given me a SINGLE issue. Carfax is clean all original vin stickers in place.
I really would like to trade it for a small pick up truck. Tacoma, Frontiers, Newer Rangers, Colorados maybe X3s cash on either side depending on deal.
MAYBE trade for a bigger car GS300, GS400, GS430, LS400, ZHP 330 somwhere along big body with lots of trunk space.
