this is my 1982 Mercedes 240D that i had planned to use as my winter beater but instead i'm listing it for you guys.
I want to start off with the bad of the car first
bad:
very dirty interior
paint is shot
has a problem with the engine shutting off (all vacuum lines are hooked up, it may be the shut off valve or the whole vacuum pump i'm not sure, i dump the clutch to kill it. maybe you could install a fuel shut off toggle?)
no windows work their all propped
speedometer and odometer are not working.
i took apart the hazard light switch to attempt to clean it as the previous owner spilled soda in it and all the window switches, instead i lost pieces to it their for the turn signals do not work.
tires are worn
Its ugly
Good:
no rust
no major dents some small dings
interior is pretty much complete
it runs
it drives
if it had new tires it would drive smooth over 50mph
it has an engine block heater
hot air is hot
i charged the a/c two weeks ago and it still blows really cold.
gets awesome mpg
conclusion this car is perfect to turn into a veggie mobile, slam it and rat rod it or just drive it for winter time, the good thing is it's not to far gone to restore.
i do not mind taking extra pictures and i have a video of it running on youtube
I'm asking for $1000 since it is reliable transportation and has working a/c
or
I would like to trade for some items
a decent Dslr in working condition with lens battery and charger something better the old crummy wore out model you've had for years and years.
a set of wheels for my e30 4x100???
another car? project?
i like computer stuff. so any good computer with newer hardware as in ivy-bridge and nvidia gtx600 series/radeon 7000 series
or a decent gamable laptop
$1400 ill put 4 brand new tires on it, a better radio and new speakers.
