  • FS: 1985 BMW E24 635CSi Black/Black CLEAN w/All Records

    Sold!

For sale is a two-owner 1985 BMW 635CSi which has been kept in extraordinary condition. It comes with over $30,000 in service records which date back to 1988. The previous owner was an engineer and was extremely meticulous about maintaining and documenting the car, as one look through the paperwork will prove. One notable detail is that the dashboard has only two small cracks, neither of which are visible from the front seats. The engine pulls hard and the transmission shifts like a dream. It's seriously the best automatic I've ever felt in one of these cars. It's ready to be driven across the country. Absolutely no leaks or smoke, and absolutely no rust anywhere on this California car.

    Engine:
Dinan performance chip (original chip included)
    Underhood vacuum gauge
    VDO Fuel pressure gauge
Split Second ARM1 A/F ratio meter
    K&N cylindrical air filter
    New complete exhaust in 2009
The smoothest-shifting 4HP22 automatic you will ever feel

    Suspension & Wheels:
    Bilstien Sport shocks
    H&R lowering springs
    Stainless steel braided brake lines
Ireland Engineering rear camber adjustment kit
    17x8 BMW Style 26 wheels
Bridgestone Potenza RE750 tires with 40% remaining front tread and 90% rear.

    Cosmetic & Convienence:
    Heater works great
    All power windows work great
    Euro H4/H1 headlight assemblies
    Polished front and rear bumpers
Alpine CDE 7826 headunit (stock speakers)
    Late E30 maplight rearview mirror
    Fire extinguisher mounted in trunk
    Dashboard cover

    Issues:
    Siezed A/C compressor
Three small dings on driver's side
Driver's seat has a long cut in the leather on the left bolster, currently has electrical tape over it.
Front valence is split in the middle and could use a polish

The car was issued a salvage title in 1990 when it was run off the road and damaged most of the front suspension and the oil pan. All parts were replaced by Crevier BMW in June of 1990 when the car had 48,000 miles. It now has around 230,000 miles and is still running strong and driving wonderfully. The parts replaced at the time were: oil pan, oil pump/level switch, front crossmember/bushings, tie rods, center link, and idler arm.

In some photos you'll notice water drops as I had just washed the car.

            I got it
Glad it's pretty popular on the forums. It's a nice car. A lot better than what they are valued at.
Don't think i'll keep it for too long though. I got a sweet deal on an m3 the next day so now i have to decide which one to keep.
The 635 needs a few details to sort out before it's up to my standards.
Good job on the PO for keeping up the history. Took me a long weekend to go through the paperwork that came with the car. The upkeep of the car is impressing. Lots of details. It's the "beta-facebook" of the car.
