Taxes are done and we will have our refund within 3 weeks. That being said, I would like to open up discussions with anyone selling a 528e, or if you know of any. The budget isn't quite set yet but I think it will be no more than $2500. I have expectations and am definately looking to buy something that meets my expectations, not just any e28. So here goes.
-must be a 528e
-86-88 (preferably 88 super eta)
-must be a manual, absolutely no auto cars (swapped cars ok)
-rust free or close to rust free (minor trouble spots ok)
-must have records of recent timing belt work (obviously if I only pay $700 I don't expect this, but for $2500 I do).
-no catastrophic problems, maintenance needed is ok as long as the price reflects it fairly
-must have clean title (no salvages please)
-no color preference
-cloth, vinyl, leather ok
-Will travel as far west as Roanoke, south as far as Raleigh, north as far as MD/NJ.
-I will consider 535i/is cars as well. Manual only. But this is a last resort (fuel mileage).
