Yeah its small. i call it the dusty bowl haha. Your consternation is at such a high level and your adrenaline is going that's the last thing you want when racing. Sitting in the seat im taking about 5 g's to my body in the car and i have to work with that the whole race and many other situations. I can lose up to about 10lbs being in that car for 45s. Last summer we took a inside temperature of the car at 165 degrees itself not including me being in a 3 layer suit with a NON-Ventilation helmet on.
And no its not street legal. When im tuning the engine in the garage after a race weekend i set the alarms off to my neighbors cars around me

Believe it or not at that price, you might even get some nibbles from Australia..
Might be worth advertising on http://www.my105.com/ which is a race car sales site in Aus..

If someone is interested in buying the shell, I would definitely buy the motor and possibly the transmission if its a manual gearbox. Which brings me to my next question, If its not a manual box would any small block era GM 5 speed trans mount up to this motor?
This would be absolutely nuts to drop into my camaro
edit: what type of fuel does it require? forgot about that.. If it can't run 93 ignore this whole postLast edited by e30L; 02-06-2012, 05:47 PM.

lmao at all the people who think this is a "Nascar" car. Well it is, just not what everyone is thinking it is. Oval isn't my cup of tea, but its an awesome car and its always nice to see a fellow racer here on S|W! Glws.

Cole--made it home safe and sound with your baby back at DIYAutoTune.com HQ. Had it out earlier today just moving cars around to make room for it in the shop, had at least 2-4 people come out every door in sight from the 3 buildings around us just wanting to know what was making all that noise as I moved it around the lot and into the shop.
EFI Conversion is in the very near future-- we'll dyno it the way it is, maybe put a 4bbl on it and dyno again for comparison, and then convert to EFI using a couple of different manifold options we're going to offer along with a 4150 style 4bbl throttle body we'll be offering along with these kits. Each step will be dyno'd and we'll let you know how it does.
Next up-- Chris Lafferty (Nascar Truck Series driver of the #89 truck and head honcho on Chris Lafferty's Motorsports TV show) may campaign it in roundy-round trim at a local track a time or two to draw some attention to it with the EFI conversion in place, as well as to generate some material for his show.
Then once that's done we'll just continue to play with it and use it to test and develop products. We'll have to balance it out so it likes to turn right too and play with it on the local road courses. Should be fun.
We've begun to build a page to document the project here: http://www.diyautotune.com/cars/proj..._stock_car.htm
I'll probably call to pick yours or Darren's brain on the car a bit more as I come up with questions, as well as call and talk to Steve at Tri Tech to get all of the engine specs.
Should be a fun project and a fun car... we'll take good care of it for you.
