I am selling 1996 BMW M3, possibly open to trades. It is a 5 speed manual for sale and currently has approx. 140k miles, this is my daily driver so mileage will continue to go up until car is sold. Rare Techno Violet on Black power non heated Vader seats and factory installed rear spoiler (no third brake light in rear window). Car has factory alarm, Harman Kardon stereo with Alpine iPod headunit, I will replace with a factory head unit and reinstall the 6 cd changer upon request, the cd changer is not currently installed and will come with the car if requested. The engine has approx. 3k miles since it was completely torn down and rebuilt. Engine was rebuilt with Wiseco custom overbore forged pistons, new oem bearings, new oem head, connecting rod, and main bolts. Cylinder head was rebuilt with new guides and valves along with new valve stem seals and multi angle valve job. Oem gaskets and new oem ignition coils were used for reassembly. Engine is stock compression ratio.. Engine was properly broken in with conventional oil until 1k miles then switched back to the factory recommended Castrol 5w30. I recently installed a new windshield due to surface scratches and swirls. I have maintenance records for all work mentioned above and also going back to 2003.
The car is highly modified with mostly Dinan parts installed by a Dinan authorized dealer. This includes Dinan stage 3 suspension, Dinan front strut brace, Dinan rear shock tower brace, Dinan high flow intake, Dinan high flow throttle body, Dinan mass air meter, Dinan exhaust, Dinan stage 4 engine software, Dinan pedal covers, and Dinan floor mats. Also has a UUC Evo 3 short shifter with a ZHP shift knob, DJ Auto euro projector headlights with Silvania Silverstar lowbeam bulbs, standard bulbs in highbeams, and factory brake rotors and pads with stainless lines and ATE super blue fluid. OEM foglight delete panels are installed in place of foglights. All tires replaced approx. 3k miles ago with Falken FK452 in 245/40-17 all around, was also aligned after replacement to Dinan stage 3 specs which will provided with car for future alignments.
The car is in great mechanical condition with normal wear and tear for a car it's age, all of which can be seen in the following pictures. Car recently passed smog after rebuild with no issue and registration is valid through April of 2012. I have clean CA title in hand for easy transaction. I am asking $13,200 or best reasonable offer. Please no lowball offers, as you can see there has been a great deal of time, money, and effort put into this vehicle to keep in this shape. Located in Los Gatos, CA.
