I was thinking about maybe trading my 1972 mgb gt. It has a rust free solid body, not to common as most tend to rust in certain spots.
I just put on all new brakes and poly bushings, along with lowerng it around 2 inches with springs up front and lowering leaf springs in the rear.
The engine is a 1.8 with dual SU carbs it runs, but im sure the carbs need to be synced. The interior of the car is stripped and painted black, it has a roll cage, a fuel cell, battery in the rear. The dash is out as well as gauges but the parts are all there, and wires a labled. There is no seats with the car but i have miata seats in it, not bolted in. but its a swap that can be done pretty easy.
I also have a camaro engine that can go with it. Its a v6 160hp and 200tq' out of a 94. but is a commom swap that can be done to fit in this tiny car. The car car only weights around 2000 pounds so with this engine it can be quite quick.
i started to roll and slightly pull one rear fender, besides that it has sebring racing front and rear valances, getting rid of the bumpers.
Im sure theres some other things i might be forgetting, I was just thinking maybe i want a project thats a little more together, and more ready to drive.
cars i like mk2 vw's, e28's, e30's, among many others. This is just a thought as i like the car and havent seen one low with wide wheels.
Couple bad pictures when i first got it. I can send more via text if someone was interested.

heres a couple shots of when i was planning a widebody. These are just mocked up so nothing was cut. The rear was just a cardboard template.

Good luck from a fellow B owner dude. Your GT looks like a solid start of an awesome project. These things are a blast.

Yeah I've been thinking maybe I should just keep it. Even if it takes awhile to do. Maybe get some Sebring flares for it.
