  • UK - BMW e38 740i Individual - the works.

I've decided having two 300bhp cars is not so good on my wallet , and I need money for medical bills so with regret i've decided to sell my non-drift project now its all finished. I was inspired by the gangster e38's that did the rounds on the net. Simple , decked , dish and dark , hard as nails.

£3300 without media centre/games/sub or offers with p/ex ( I will take a part ex up to £2000 if I like it , but ideally looking for something easy to sell on again or less performance orientated as i'm making my s14 a little more hardcore)
    12 months mot
    taxed til end of year.

I'm sure most people have seen the car at shows and events , its a head turner for sure.

    • 1999 BMW 740i Individual (would be on an 's' plate)
    • Has personal plate M7GXM (short plate for smaller numberplate recess's) google it for a quick valuation (£1500+)
    • Individual options are : Limo Tints (factory done) , de-chrome shadow-line , Sports leather comfort seats (fully electric) , built in tv , sat nav , 10 speaker system , PDC , DSC , EW , ES , Rain-sensing wipers , speed sensing wipers and volume on radio , plus much more.
    • Engine and box :4.4litre 32v quad cam
      5 speed switchable auto (semi-auto) (Stock 280+bhp , a billion torques)
    • More gadgets and toys than you can ever dream off.

    ]Modifications i've made:
    • First ever chrome blue straatgeweld sticker from Mei no mai ever!
    • 1000w JBL sub in rear seat ski hole , enclosure is hidden in boot , with hidden amp and adjustable levels.
    • resler interface in panel in boot (allows laptop to be connected to alter settings on car , or build an incar pc.)
    • old school xbox media centre under passenger seat , plays films , sega games , NES , snes , n64 , arcade , 3d0 , pc engine , jaguar , atari (3000+ games all consoles installed) , play things like mario kart , sonic , initial d , all the cool games on the screen in the dash. (also a removable screen in the rear stored in the read arm rests)
    • Iphone setup , this allows sound to go thru the system and the iphone screen to be relayed on the car screen , setup so the phone is in the centre console allowing touch control whilst driving , great for sat nav , facebook , maps , itunes etc.
    • Resprayed satin black by MW Bodyshop in olney 3 months ago at the cost of over £1k , beautiful job.
    • Suspension is H9.2 Coilovers from LOW-TEC (tuv approved , german brand , inverted shocks like cs2) , supplied by MADE ONE (£880+vat cost) , Car can be set to mentally low , or just nice , either way the ride is not massively compromised. (currently set to v low on rear and 15mm above minimum on front to avoid chassis/road interference)
    • Rondell 0058 wheels in custom pearl powdercoat (flips between black , blue , green and purple , not chavvy , very subtle) £500 wheels £270 powdercoat. Tyres are all plenty of tread.
    • All new arms and links on front suspension, rear suspension is perfect. Tracking set , DSC working fine. (£250 worth of bits)
    • rear exhaust boxes modified to make a little more noise (bypassed resonator chamber)
    • Team Heko wind deflectors all round (£70 worth) , really nice touch.
    • 4300k HID's fitted , good quality.(Projector headlamps , mot passable) (£70) matching led sidelights

    • Headlights subtle tint , front fogs yellow , rear indicators red to match rest (all done with LAMIN-x and fully reversible to OEM spec) (£40 job)
    • Car is wearing personal plate M7 GXM and US/JDM spec numberplate holders / boot panel , this gives the car a much more aggressive look and makes the car look even wider and lower. (£100 plus paint)

Car has a folder full of reciepts , service history (full) , previous owners info and shows its been well looked after ( I spent a good 2 weeks looking at e38's before settling on this one to start a project on)

Mileage is currently 153k , showing 4 green lights on the service meter , car does 200 miles a month tops , so mileage may be slightly different but not a lot.

MPG wise , its a 4.4 litre , but not as bad as you'd think , I had 390 miles out of £100 tank on Awesomefest weekend averaging 25mpg , but a lot of that was driving hard on lanes and towns , it does 30mpg on motorway with ease using the cruise control at around 75-85mph.
For a big car , it handles extremely well thanks to the suspension mods , and is very quick if it needs to be , on the motorway overtaking is easy , 55mpg to 120mph is insanely quick.
The brakes are stock , but very big discs and good . ABS works.
The airbag light needs resetting , as I made the mistake of unplugging the passenger seat electrics to stop people from moving the seat and crushing the xbox under neath. (this is a 5 min job for someone with a laptop and obd lead , most of the bods on the owners club will do it, i just haven't bothered)

    Bad Points:
In the bright sunlight you can see one or two scratches on the paintwork where people have decided to 'feel' the paint at shows and made light abrasions on the top surface of the paint. But nothing really bad , you can't see normally.
The side skirts have marks underneath , where they rub on speed humps , but nothing visible from outside
Needs one exhaust bracket replacing , but i'll do that when I can , just need to order one of BMW (dealer parts are fairly priced on this btw , I was surprised) , its taking no harm , just squeaks a little on the heatshield.
Rear tyres rub a little on arches under cornering , but only enough to take the lettering off over 3 months.
With 5 people in the lip of the wheels will touch the arches but , again this is minor and it looks ace tucking the entire tyre.

Remember car is 12 years old , so not showroom , but its in insanely good condition for its age.

I'm sure a few people who've seen this will chip in on the thread.

    PICS:

Last pic shows the coilovers on the front a bit lower , but I had trouble with a road local to me and speedhumps , so it was raised a little

Ignore the blockyness on the photos , thats facebooks horrible compression on pictures.

Checkout my photos on : www.facebook.com/bolfy for more photos including some of the car before and mods and showing all the kit removed and ready for paint (so you can see there is zero ROT)

    EMail me on : keep_th@manfoot.in

I'll be making a short video with walk around , showing the xbox , the iphone , the exhaust and ride of the car soon , but if I get a nice offer before this I might let it go quicker

If only I had the money for this. I want a e38 so bad as a daily so I can go insane on my e90 that is in the garage. GLWS this car should sell quick.

Can't believe it hasn't sold yet, but as much as I **** to say it I think the price may need to go down if you do want to shift it any time soon... Hope a buyer comes along soon though.
