Putting this back up...
Asking $7,000 FIRM I may be able to work with you, but I won't go much lower.
This is in fact a 1985 (imported) M635CSi. The early e24 M6's and e28 M5's in Europe were known as M635CSi and M535i's. There are a number of cosmetic differences and they feature a slightly updated version of the M88 motor from the original M1 as opposed to the S38 found in the US models. As such, they are more sought after than their US counterparts. I've had it for a while now and have been using it as a daily driver. When I originally purchased it I had planned to mod it and restore it, but things have not gone to well financially. I may end up keeping depending on interest, though I would really like to see it off to a GOOD home.
First off, the car runs, shifts, and drives beautifully. It doesn't burn or leak ANY oil. It had been sitting for a while when I bought it and was down a cylinder. We did some work with it and ran some RESTORE in the motor and picked up that cylinder. It's been running stronger the more I drive it. All fuel and coolant lines were replaced too unless it looked particularly good. The odometer reads 140,780, though it does not function. With my average mileage I'd say it has around 150,000~160,000. That's just guess work, however.
Exterior is in good condition and pretty straight overall, but isn't perfect by any means. Original Alpine white paint cleans up pretty good, though the paint on the passenger rear quarter is getting very thin. One small dent in the front drivers side quart and the lower part of the trunk lid. The rear bumper (chrome part) was pushed in and up a bit from someone hitting it while it was parked. Two small rust spots, though neither should be too serious. The previous owner cut out a section in the lower part of the engine bay for some sort of stupid cold air intake BS as well as some sections behind the rear seats for a 15" sub. The car also has the Mtechnic spoiler and fiberglass front valence.
The Interior is not original. The previous owner swapped in full stitched black leather from an L6, complete with beverage cooler and euro rear headrests. Although he did not bother to hookup the front seat controls at all. If you can route power to the wires you can get them to function, however. The interior is in good condition with the exception of a couple cracks in the dash as usual and a missing switch for the headlight leveler in the panel below the steering wheel. Drivers seat has some wear on the outside bolster.
Some other mods done to the car before I had purchased it are: Bilstein shocks. H&R springs. Steel braided brake lines. B&B full stainless exhaust($950 piece! and sounds awesome BTW) The motor was converted to dual valve springs. It also has wheels from an 8-series BMW. They're 16x7.5 and are light weight magnesium. Starter has been replaced as well.
Other issues and things it needs: Universal joint. Floor mats. Fog lights are missing. Hood shocks are blown. Rubber front bumper moldings are coming out. Spark plug wire guide was partially melted, needs a new one(wires are fine). Needs center sound absorber on the underside of the hood. Blower motor and A/C do not work.(Heat does) At one point the alarm was going off by itself so we took out a fuse to temporarily fix the issue.
I kind of **** to see it go; but I just want to get it to someone who can afford to really work on it and give it a good home, unlike the previous owner. It certainly needs work to be perfect, but it's not like you see many of these cars anymore and running so well. If I can't get the asking price then I will happily keep it, as I don't absolutely NEED to sell it. Also, I have some documentation for federalization and such, along with receipts for various maintenance. Be sure to look for the specific details in the pics. Feel free to ask any questions. You can call or text me @ 910-262-2652.

And one final shot when it was cleaned up good.
