1983 533i w/ M106 and K27 turbo set up with oil cooler, currently running @ 7psi. It's all there, stock intercooler, intake piping, wastegate, diverter valve, k27, oil cooler, ect.
5 speed transmission, g265
Mileage on the chassis and motor is unknown. When I bought the car, the odometer was stopped at 163k. The previous owner estimated he put 20k on it after it stopped, and I've put less than 1k on it since I've bought it.
Boost and oil temp gauges mounted in ashtray
Burgondrot Metallic paint
Black interior in good shape
Evo3 SSK
Koni adjustable swaybar
3.25 LSD
M-Tech steering wheel
7 series brakes, not sure on the specifics.
82 528 Gauge cluster with 533i speedo/tach (no SI board), everything works including odometer.
Spare/jack/big tool kit all there, tool kit missing one wrench and one screw driver
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Aluminum front strut bar
Cold A/C with freeze 12, keeps it comfortable even in the 100-110* heat we've been having lately.
Starts, runs, and drives fine. I've been using it as my daily for the past 3 weeks or so everyday and it has given me no problems at all.
The Good:
I've replaced:
- Distributor cap and rotor
- Ignition coil
- Reference sensor
- Speed sensor
- Fuel Filter
- Control arms, upper and lower, with Meyle HD
- Tie rod ends, Meyle
- Differential Mount
- Cam seal behind distributor
- Upper timing cover gasket
- Valve cover gasket
- Thermostat
- More I'm forgetting I'm sure
I've also
- "Refreshed" AFM
- Adjusted throttle body plate and sensor
- Adjusted valves
Included:
- Original owners manual
- Spare ICM
- Spare ECU
- A couple of boxes of parts, window switches/light switch/door handles/timing cover gaskets/coil pack/ main relay/etc.
The not so good:
- Need a manual bypass valve. Not knowing that it the engine had been swapped to a m106, I put a 533i ICV on it. Starts, runs, and drives just fine, but she idles just above 1k rpm's because of it. I'm currently on the hunt for one, but I doubt I'll be able to get it fixed before I leave.
- Driver door lock switch, all doors still lock the car via trunk or passenger door lock.
- Warped brake rotors, slight shimmy during braking.
- Differential mount needs replacing. The car lurches forward/backward while accelerating/decelerating. There is also a tapping on the driveshaft tunnel under hard acceleration in first gear.
- Paint/body. The previous owner did a Maaco paint job and it's falling off. The paint's completely gone on the roof. There are a hand full of door dings, but overall the body is straight. I have found just one bondo spot on the hood. The underside of the driver's rear door has developed some rust.
- Because of the EVO3 SSK, the shift boot gets pulled forward when shifting into 1/3/5 and will not stay secured in the console.
- Check light comes on for tail lights sometimes while tail lights are still working.
