You should buy it. 04 Black on Black. Coils, 19x10.5 +15, low, 67k miles. But it's 17k. A hair over your budget but it's immaculate. I drive 1 mile to work (literally). It doesn't get all that much use. Bitche's love a G

I hope you realize unless the car you buy is on air. If your mom is occasionally driving it expect it to be trashed. She is not going to go sideways into driveways, slow over speed bumps, avoid pot holes.

This. i would have killed to have 10K to spend on a car. and i'm not trying to sound like a jealous prick, but where have you been looking? There is a wide variety of cars you can get in this price range, so finding one that you like shouldn't be too difficult. And now that your mom isn't going to be driving it, does it still need to be an automatic? because it literally takes less than 3 days to get good at it.
