  • FS: CA: 1983 Toyota Corolla SR-5

    $3200 OBO.

SSR and BIKE RACK are SOLD

looking to sell quick to pick up another car i found.

    THE GOOD:
    - 4ac with 39xxx rebuilt miles, about 244xxx on chassis
    - engine was rebuilt around 244xxx miles, when it finally decided to give up
    - just got smog done, good for 2 years
    - just registered it as well, good till july 2012
    - working cold A/C, hot heater.
    - weber 32/36 downdraft
    - 26 average MPG filling up on 87 (save a lot of $$$$)
    - does 290+ miles on a full tank (about 11 gallons) depending how you drive
**just drove it to arizona, with no problems at all and did about 32 mpg on the highway.**
    - kenwood head unit with USB and 3.5mm auxiliary jack with a 120amp watt, with kenwood speakers in the back. gets the job done for the little corolla.
    - 1980s supra seats with working backrest pump
    - front megan coils with 10kg/mm tanabe springs
    - rear cut megan lowering springs
    - unknown rear shocks, seems to be short stroke
    - t3 panhard
    - t3 rca
    - 330mm jdm wood grain wheel
    - h4 hella headlights with 6k HIDS i think, dont remember
    - mercedes horns
    - brand new extended wheel studs
    - runs strong, pulls for what it is, the engine will last forever.
    - gas saver
    - regular maintenance is performed, such as recent oil change, fluids, and inspection

    THE BAD:
    - salvage title, due to theft (what the original owner had told me)
    - will not pass smog, but i took care of that already. so youll have to worry about it after 2 years.
    - dings, tiny dents, and scratches here and there.
    - 2? cracks in dash, i dont know, i dont care, i dont pay attention to it
    - rattling behind dash
    - exhaust piping was poorly done
    - original T50 tranny makes a weird buzzing noise in 5th gear, (never bothered me, always had my music up and windows down) so im throwing in a spare T50
    - Bondo in rear right fender, really isnt bad, look at the pics (dont know the whole story, but i could ask the original owner about it)
    - leaks at the rear transmission seal, where the driveshaft meets the transmission

    Will come with:
    - dual tip exhaust the car originally had on
    - a good spare T50 transmission
    - original passenger seat
    - front fender linings

    update (7/13/2011)

while driving home this morning, i smelled a lot of rubber burning, pulled over and saw that my front right fender got pulled in by the tire. its what i get for being to low and not paying attention to where im turning. i had to pull it then and there on the spot so i could get home. its bad but not horrible, check the pics.

im willing to remove parts to lower the price or even out a trade. or trade for a s13 coupe preferably with silvia front end conversion or s14 kouki, just as clean and with about the same amount of miles on the engine.

keep all the negativity to yourself, i don't care about what you have to say or what you want others to know. its my car, i do what i want. you want the car, come buy it. plain and simple

all in all the car is clean, with the exception of what just happened to the fender. but i took this thing to Arizona with my brother and sister, not one problem. it has super low mileage that will last forever. this thing will save you money on insurance, costs $79 to register, and currently $38 for a full tank. drop in a 4age and this thing is good to go.

if youre seriously interested, CALL ME, if you don't like to talk TEXT ME, DO NOT PM OR REPLY 805 208 5535
