I've probably been putting off writing this for a month now, but I've come to realise I don't have the power to magic up another £2000 for an E24 (so no PX unless you have one) and the E46 needs to sell before I can move on to the next car. Ready for the huge essay then.
I have owned the car since 01/01/2010, and have done just over 10,000 miles since buying it. It has been a total pleasure to own and drive. Please remember though this car is low, and the wheels are very close to the arches to the tyres do rub if it is driven very hard. Removing spacers/lifting the car would solve this problem but I like how it looks.
Price, £4850 as it stands. I will listen to offers without parts, but I have no standard stuff to replace with. Please no low ballers, or dreamers. It is a 3 litre BMW. Car is located in Derby, DE3 postcode. Viewings any time after 5pm or weekends. You can contact me on 07736286695. Any test drives will require proof of insurance, otherwise I will take you out for a drive in it.

The last garage service it had was an oil change in January 2010, this was at National Tyres with the BMW officially recommended oil. The car is showing just shy of 5000 for its next service. The rest of the maintenance work has been carried out by a mechanic friend of mine and myself. All work has been noted with mileage and date in service book or on receipts in the history folder.
The car is near faultless mechanically, it is a real shame to sell this car at the moment as it runs so beautifully. Even with the very high mileage, 90,000 of this was with the first owner in around 3 years. The car is the best I have owned, and the first car I have kept for over a year. I am only selling as I am going to University in September and cannot take a car on campus, so moving on to an E24 as a project / weekend car, it really is a reluctant sale. If I wasn't going to University I would have the car for the rest of this show season and over winter without a doubt.
I have never had any issues with the car whatsoever. I drive it daily to work and back, and often do a couple of hundred miles trips in it, it has never broken down on me (except for a flat battery in the snow). On the motorway at 65mph it will return 38-40mpg according to the dashboard, and around town I get in the lower 20s. Usually a tank will average out at 27-32mpg. Starts on the dot first time, every time.
The interior is in a very good condition, back seats look unused, all original BMW mats. Drivers seat has the stitching coming away at the top of the bolster which I will get a picture of, and a slight bit of wear. Steering wheel is on the smoother side too. Couple of small scuff marks on some of the trim.
Exterior wise, minus the bad points listed below the paintwork is 100% original and in a very good condition. I recently spent 3 days in a warehouse with a machine polisher bringing the paint back to life. Minimal swirling now, it is washed nearly weekly with coats of Dodo Juice or Autoglym HD applied.
Every car has its darker sides though and this is no different,
* Firstly the drivers wing, rust started appearing on it and when first lowered last year the wheel caught the arch and stripped back some of the paint. This has now rotten most of the way through on the lip and whilst I have been looking for a replacement for a couple of months now I have just been touching it up with a Sharpie marker. It really does need a new wing though. Hasn't bothered me much and I am quite a perfectionist.
* Wheel lips could do with being sprayed again. They were rattle canned black a couple of months ago and the wheels have caught the arches ever so slightly when I was running too much camber on the back which has caused some of the paint to chip away. Touched up slightly and barely noticeable.
* 3 or 4 parking dings on the sides
* Tiny scuff on front bumper and a small one on underside of skirt from a speedbump
* Drivers seat stitching
* Small patch of rust just appearing under the boot lid, only come through in the last couple of months
* Parking sensors work intermittently, I think this has to do with how often it gets cleaned. They need removing, drying out and testing or replacing.
* Stone chipped front end as you would expect from a 150k car with original paint. It was next on my to do list if the car was kept over summer.
* Short tax/MOT if I don't get it sorted before sale
I am sure that most people have seen this car around the internet at some point, it has been posted up by various blogs and on many forums. It was at DC11 this year and received a lot of positive feedback. Please do not let the the downsides put you off, this is a genuine car and I have been as honest as possible in my description. There are hundreds of pictures floating around the internet, here a few of my more recent ones of it. Interior, engine bay and boot will be posted this weekend.
I think that is enough. Probably forgotten loads even with that essay. Just fire any questions over by text/PM/call after 5pm. Here is some pictures.
