Quick history:
I bought the car from a mechanic up in San Fransisco about 8 months back. Great guy, took solid care of the car. He bought it off his brother who he said owned if for many years. At the time I decided to buy it I really wanted to have another turbo awd car to enjoy and mod. As soon as I brought it home I had already purchased most of the parts that I show below. The car took a total transformation and looks close to what the pictures show. The car has a CLEAN TITLE no accidents and no issues it has 116k miles, it has been properly maintained and cared for to this date. I had plans to upgrade the breaks, tranny to the sti, and a few other things for the body and paint but realized I wanted to start with a different platform and build on that. The car runs epic, every gear shifts perfect, doesn't burn oil, all the maintenance is up to date (EVERYTHING) I had a compression test performed when I bought it and everything checked out great. As I mentioned above the owner was a mechanic and did most of the 80-100k maint package himself, like the timing belt, clutch, ect... I recently (2-3k ago) added more power to the car... see below.
I might have forgotten a thing or two but this is what the car has and has been done to it that I can recall...
Engine/power:
-Cobb Access Port V2 STAGE 3 VF39 map ( 240-50 WHP 17lbs of boost)
-All oil changes at 3k with oem parts and MOTUL fully synthetic oil
-VF39 installed 3-4k ago
-STI pink injectors
-04 STI TMIC
-Mishimoto IC hoses (brand new t clamps)
-Brand new NGK iridium sparkplugs
-Gimick speed inlet hose
-Megan Racing Header
-Megan Racing Up pipe
-Megan Racing Down pipe
-HKS full high flow high power 3" exhaust
-New OEM replacement fuel filter
-New OEM drop in air filter 1k ago
-New radiator from the previous owner about 20k ago
-Timing belt HKS performed about 24k ago by previous owner
-New 255 fuel pump 3-4k ago
-New No.1 O2 sensor changed 5k ago
Drive train:
-Every gear shifts great, no issues
-Fluid was changed when I purchased the car 16k ago
-The clutch was replaced by the previous owner around 20-25k ago (not sure the brand but it is still super strong)
-F/R diff have had there fluids swapped when I got the car at 16k
Body:
-Rear trunk is wing free!!! It came like that from the factory as an option.
-Rear trunk is badgless
-Front blk/silver JDM impresa badge
-Front glass was replaced about 20k ago GREAT SHAPE!
Suspension-Handling:
-Megan Race spec 36 way adjustable coilovers (8k on them)
-Megan rear top adjusters (allows you to adjust the dampening on the fly, rather then having to pull the rear seat to gain access)
-Rota DPT 18x9.5 +22 (Professionally power coated white, look epic, no curb rash or blemishes) 235/45/18 tires with 50-60% life left
-Muteki black extended lug-nuts
-whiteline 22 mm front and rear sway bar (front hasnt been installed yet...havent had the time)
-STI (group-N) solid motor and tranny mounts
-Rear camber bolts
-Kartboy shifter bearings
-kartboy shiftknob
-Kartboy rear subframe bolts
-Kartboy front and rear swaybar end links
-Car had a professional 4 wheel alignment when everything got installed above 13k miles ago.
-MODE racing adjustable short shifter with extender
-Kartboy White Shift knob
Interior:
-VERY clean for its age. Maturely owned and maintained through out its life, NON SMOKER.
-Seats and carpet are in great shape
-The glove box has a few scratches on it from the previous owner normal ware for an 02
STOCK PARTS THAT COME WITH THE CAR:
-Complete stock exhaust system for the car
-stock header
-stock motor mounts
-Replacement AC compressor
-Stock TMIC and a few other things that I cant remember...its all in my garage so when you get the car you can take anything you want with it.
Any Issues:
A rock hit the front driverside fog light before I bought it and I never got a chance to fix it ($30-50)
The paint has normal rock chips
The AC compressor went out right when I got it and I haven't had the time to swap it out with a new one I have. It hasn't been hot enough for me to worry about it.
There is a slight chatter noise from the dashboard on rough roads (this is a very common issue with this body style. There is a solution that is pretty simple but I haven't had the time to fix it)
Seller needs to handle SMOG themselves. I do have a few contacts but I will leave this responsibility up to the seller.
Other then that the car is great. Its my daily driver and I really love it, it gets about 280-320 to a 13.5-14 gallon tank. I drive it work and back (28 miles round trip) and it always puts a smile on my face. It looks epic and always gets thumbs up from everyone. The only reason I am selling it is to buy an Evo. I want to start building on a different platform and to do so my beloved sooby must go to a new home. I really love this car and its rock solid, whoever get it is going to be very happy.
Price drops 1k if buyer brings there own wheels and I keep the DPT's
