  • 1999 BMW 540I 6 speed/BC Racing/M-Parallels/LOW

    Name: Nik
    Location: Chesapeake
Means of contact: PM or 386-456-8o59
    Price: $11,000 for everything

Description: I am testing the waters on my '99 540I. The car is in 100% mechanical condition and everything has been looked over by myself with the help of a friend who has been a BMW tech for 10+ years. It is set to drive another 100,000 miles or more given the maintenance that I have performed recently. The only reason I am selling is to try and purchase an M5. I have Included a Photo of the actual options document for this exact car, which shows every detail that the car has, matched to the VIN#.

    -114k miles
    -Titanium Silver Metallic
-Dove gray leather interior with memory seats/wheel.
    -4.4 32 Valve V8
-6 Speed Getrag Transmission with 2.81 final drive (gets very good mileage on the highway)
-Factory HID headlights with fog lights

    Maintenance/Upkeep:

-Transmission/differential fluids replaced at 112,xxx miles.
-Water pump/Thermostat replaced at 108,xxx miles using OEM replacements.
-Radiator replaced at 105,xxx miles using OEM replacement.
-Spark plugs were changed at 105,xxx miles using OEM recommended replacement.
-Oil has been changed every 3,000 miles using mobil 1 synthetic.
-Brake pads/sensors replaced at 107,xxx miles using Hawk HPS street pads.
-Lower control arm bushings replaced at 110,xxx miles using Lemfoerder OEM replacments.
-Alignment performed after coilover install at 112,xxx by Racewerks of Virginia Beach, a BMW specialty performance shop.
    -Battery replaced at 100,xxx miles
-K&N air filter replaced at 105,xxx miles.
-Compression test at 110,xxx miles yielded perfect results.
-Interior is detailed every weekend, exterior is washed once a week or more, waxed once a month.
-Brand new windshield at 112,xxx miles installed by Safelite.

    Upgrades/Modifications:

-BC Racing Coilover suspension with 6k/5k spring rates and adjustable front camber plates. Rides VERY well for an adjustable suspension setup. Very slightly stiffer than stock.
-Oem style red smoke Tail lights.
-Oem style front lip (unpainted, can be arranged with sale)
    -Carbon fiber roof spoiler
    -Wide kidney grilles in black
-Mechanical cooling fan has been replaced with an electric fan setup with Stainless shroud.
-Custom 3" single exit Yelling pipe exhaust. Stock exhaust will be included with sale.
-Clutch Delay Valve delete. (This gives the car a much more performance oriented feel)
-M60 intake manifold swap with all new gaskets. Gives the car quite a bit more top end power.
-25mm H&R wheel Spacers on front and rear.
-ZHP 6 speed shift knob in black leather.
-BBS style 19 wheels with black centers and graphite lips. (optional)
-18" M Parallels in olive green with brand new 215/35 and 245/35 BF Goodrich G-force kdw's.

I have all of the stock parts that were replaced, which will be included in the sale.

The only flaw on the car is the drivers side skirt which is dented from the jack slipping out. It is going to be fixed soon, but if a sale comes quicker than expected, I will adjust the price accordingly. Its about a $250 fix.

As the car sits right now (17/MAY2011) :

Much lower... which would just be silly because as it sits it is quite close to the earth....

It looks like you need to go another 1"-1.5" lower in the front and around 2" lower in the rear.
        Nice to see another E39!
