I've got the bug for an E46 3 series, so my s2000 has to go.
I've owned this car for 2 years in February. It currently has 94,000 miles. It's sliver with red leather interior. It's been a great car while I've had it, and the problems have been few. The clutch master cylinder has been professionally replaced about a year and a half ago. The only things that are wrong with the car are:
A. The factory CD player does not work. (Radio and all controls work fine)
B. Cruise control does not work. The problem is the actuator motor, which
is an easy fix. Last I checked the part from Honda was around $300.
C. There is a small (2'') area on the rear bumper where the paint has started
is crack. See photos. Aside from this spot, all paint is in excellent condition.
As I work in an auto shop, all regular maintenance has been performed by myself. I have just installed new tires new tires on the front of the car and aligned it. I've never modified the car in any way. While I've always had plans to, I've never had the money.
To my knowledge the car has never been lowered, so It's a blank slate for you to build how you see fit.
For those not familiar with the S2000, the car has a 6-speed manual gearbox in a rear wheel drive configuration, and a 2.0 liter VTEC 4 cylinder producing 240hp @ 8,300 rpm, and a 9,000 rpm redline. It has a power operated soft top which seals very well. There are also many removable hardtops available in the aftermarket, if a convertible isn't your thing.
It averages 25 MPG around town and 30 MPG on the highway.
I'm asking $12,500, but If you'd care to negotiate with me, I'll be more
than happy to entertain offers. And I'd be happy to hear about any older
BMW's offered in partial trade. I (and the car) live in Amarillo, TX.
I've lurked on Stanceworks for a long time, but this is my first post.
If you have any questions about the car, please feel free to email or give me a call.
