So its time sell the Rabbits. The GTI runs strong and starts every time!
The GTi has no carpet or headliner but I will include all other interior bits.
Cars come with MANY extra parts.
Combining the two cars either way would make one great car! Take the floorboards out of the Convertible or the engine, trans, and dash out of the GTI. Convertible has quite a bit of valuable sheet metal (strut towers, floors, etc)
84' Rabbit GTi
Good-
-Fresh head gasket, valve cover, and exhaust maniold gasket.
-Heat Always Blows hot
-87' Scirroco rear disc brake conversion
-Newer gas tank
-Replaced most brake lines
-Newer Plugs and wires
-Many other new parts
Bad-
-Floorboards are rotted out where the floorboard meets the frame rail
-Exhaust is disconnected where the exhaust pipe meets the manifold (needs a clamp)
-Possible vacuum leak (Car idles at 1800 but runs great)
-No Carpet or Headliner
-Needs new Pass side window channel (can take off of Convertible)

81' Rabbit Convertible
Good-
-Rust free floors
-Rust free perfect strut towers
-Great shell with very little rust on replaceable panels
Bad-
-No engine, trans, or dash
-Two SMALL holes in the top
-No door panels
-No rear seat seat covers

I am probably missing a lot of information and extra parts. Call/Text with any questions.
I would prefer to sell the cars as a pair.

I have driven this car from Plainfield to Schaumburg a few times, and daily drove it for almost a year with no issues. I would not be afraid to drive the GTI any distance (it is an old VW so take this with a grain of salt)
Will deliver a REASONABLE distance for the price of gas and trailer rental (U-haul charges $60 for the flatbed car hauler)
