E36 JOM Coilovers Issue

Hi

Got some JOM Coilovers rear adjusters springs installed about a week ago. Have noticed a slight problem, firstly the mechanic did not install the adjuster plates on the rear springs as I wanted to raise the car a bit I decided to install them myself.

I jacked up the car (passenger side) I firstly tried to pry the rear spring out with a metal rod and could not do so therefore I left it and jacked the car back down. Upon jacking the car down the passenger side was sitting higher than the driver side.

I managed to get the adjusters installed correctly from a mate however they have made no difference after adjusting the driver side is still sitting a touch lower than the passenger side.

Also the adjusters are not moving and when trying to adjust them the plates are moving the whole spring.

I hope someone can help me have I damaged the spring already. I can confirm that when I got the car back from the mechanic the rear both side were sitting on the same height without any adjusters

I am new to the side by side world too. I would like a to find a diesel one as well. The problem that I am finding is that nobody makes one that will keep up with the gas ones. I have been looking at the Intimidator web site, and I think one of these and a turbo retrofitted on would make a snappy*

Okay man, idk how much you work on the e36, but you need to unbolt the shock from the hub and then you can remove the spring just with your hand. Take the adjuster out and then adjust and put it back in
