  • e30 coilover, help needed

Hi Guys, Ive been doing my homewor regarding coilovers on e30. I read alot about cutting the strut to accomodate the coilover. I read great things about BC and GC but GC is not available to me as shipping is an issue. I can get BC but the supplier says there are 3 types availabel and im not sure which 1 to get.

This is my car, i love it but the ride height works on my nerves.

Current setup is Bilstein Shocks with HnR springs. With the RS on you can actually see how high this car is. I just purchased Radinox 3.25 inch lips for the rears, but yet the car looks too high

I'm really not sure what you're asking. Ok, so if BC has (3) types of coilovers why don't you call them up and find out what the difference is between them and which is the best application for your needs. Good luck, your e30 looks great!

I've got the brs on mine and they're pretty good, way better than v1's.
They don't go super low in the rear, but i couldn't care less, car handles wonderfully with them.

If you want to go really low look elsewhere but if you just want to get rid you your wheel gap they'd be pretty good. My front lip is maybe 6 inches off the ground?
Ride height is even, I've got maybe a half inch of threads left in the rear but a ton left in the front

Have you looked in to us at Broadway Static? If going low and performing great is your priority, I don't think anything comes close.

Many of our customers come from BC and GC. Check us out!

Broadway's will allow you to lay frame not kidding. I'm Currently 1" off the ground with room to adjust.

Sorry to threadjack, but I've been doing some research on coils for my e30 as well and have arrived at either building a GC kit with shortened housings, or broadway. Broadway would be about twice the price but would save me the effort of tracking down the struts and inserts, etc. Would I have to shorten the housings with a broadway setup as well, or is it a direct bolt-on? I'm not looking to go super slammed at the moment, but I'd like to have the option.

Dang that last pic looks good! I need to shorten my housings dang it, I'm at the point where if I hit a huge bump, I can hit the stops on unshortened housings
