  • Odd question: E46 - How HIGH can BC extreme drops go?

Looking at BC threads, it seems that a common gripe is that the standard BCs are not low enough for many.

I usually drive pretty low (last setup was PSS bottomed out on E46 sedan). I'm looking for a
new setup for my e46 325ci vert. I am planning on BC extreme drop, but everything I see is REALLY low. Low is great, and I never want the option to be stock height. However, I might need to be higher some time, and I will never need to set frame rails on the ground.

    Thanks for any input...

I can attest for BC extreme drops on an e36

the fronts will take you around to where you almost tuck rim on 17s

Rears will easily tuck rim (rears lower more honestly then front)
I ran 8k/10k with their standard extreme drop kit

You can also request shortened springs or customer spring rates of your choice

Thanks for the response, but I think you didn't understand my question. I know the extreme drop will be low enough, but if I ever need to raise the car temporarily (perhaps only 1.5" lower than stock) is that possible with these coils?

      Thanks!

these coils will definitely be able to achieve close to stock height, if not just a tad lower maybe an inch or two. i wouldn't be too worried about it.

          Oh yes I apologize

Yes when raised all the way up they will go to near stock height.

The extreme drop will be fine for clearance. If you need more height tighten the springs to increase preload and it will raise the height after maxing out bottom adjustment mount.
