  • HELP e30 or e36 suspension

Ok so i recently picked a 1991 (E30) bmw 325i, the car came with a full e36 m3 conversion meaning engine drivetrain suspension and brakes. the car is car is currently on h&r lowering spring's with stock shocks and struts i believe they're from an e36.

my dilemma is the the previous owner cut the rear springs so its very bouncy and unstable I'm not sure if the the rear shocks are blown too it maybe just the springs though... any way I'm looking into a new suspension setup and would like to know what suspension setups people are running on the 5 lug converted e30's. i would like to get a decent coil over setup but i am a budget as this car is a second priority,i hear some people do camaro kyb shocks on the rear of e30s because they're shorter and stiffer and i was also thinking of going with ground control sleeve's but my main problem is i don't know what are my options for shocks and if i were to buy a coil over kit would i go with e30 coilovers or e36
    thanks!

Most of E30s with 5 lugs in rear run with Z3 or E36 compact rear, because it's bassicly the same as E30s. So my answer would be get lowering springs and short shocks for Z3/E36 compact/E30.
Though I don't know what the previous owner had done to your rear axle.
