  • Slammed E39 Spring Rate

Any suggestions on spring rates for a slammed 540i? I'm likely going to order some BC Racing coilovers with swift springs, but I'm also considering BWS/Fortune. I've seen everything from 10k/12k, 14k/10k, 14k/12k, 14k/14k, to 14k/16k

I understand slammed ≠ the most comfortable ride, but this will be a daily driver lol. I have no issue driving with a stiff suspension, just didn't know at what point it starts to become "overkill"

    heres my ve-hicle for reference:

    or

Well so far I've gotten two suggestions. at least 16k front / Xk rear (X meaning any spring rate)

      and 12k/10k.

      any other suggestions?

I would think probably closer to 20k considering some guys run them that stiff on their e46's and paul on his 300zx which are all lighter chassis than an e39. And if your decideing between bc and bws def go for the bws. You get top quality and performance
