  • Looking on going low e30

    Hey guys, i have a 1988 e30 318i.
Im looking on going low, but im low on a budget..
The budget would be 500$, and best shipping in Europe, cause shipping from US is a lot.
Currently im thinking on going for JOM BlueLine, but maybe there is anything else for that price?

    Cheers.

That's a tough one since e30s are so rarely modified around here. I guess you already found that out since the SEARCH feature turned nothing up for you.

I did use the search function, even went thro a lot of threads.
The problem is that most of threads are for a budget of 800$+ and located in US.
Im in Europe and dont have that much money..

I was in the same boat! lol I run cut housings with jom sleeve and a jom vert e30 springs up front the rates are much better! And the back i just run like a Mugen coilover spring no adjuster lol And i have Bills yellow all around. I would just run the JOM out of all those....... Look into GroundControl too! They are around 700 so your almost there

            Thanks!
Well yeah, i tried finding racelands specs, no luck, so i dont like them at all..
For TA Technix's i found the specs, but JOM ones are better, so im thinking il stick with them.
Wrote them a message asking if i can get VAT-free shipping since im not in UK.
Ground control is still a little to high..

I mean the wider ones not the longer ones
Im just thinking maybe i will swap someday, so why not swap the struts now so i dont have to swap em later

I've heard JOM's are too long for "real low" on e30..

If welding ain't a problem, you could go really low whit 6N Polo coilovers. I've got these on my e28, but I've heard these would go to e30 as easy as e28. Rear is bolt-on and front is weld-on, on e28, should be on e30 too.

                      Some bad quality fotos here

Now, whit my wintertyres (175/80/14 :X) I got 15mm from oilpan to ground and I still could go few mm's lower I think that is enough for almost everyone?

I had JOM's on my E30. They worked great for the price. They got me pretty slammed, but for my wheel setup the rear wasn't low enough.
But installation was pretty easy and didn't need any welding of any sort. Out of the options you put up there I'd go with JOM.
                        I Lurk a lot.
