  • Uneven e36

I own a 98 e36 318is running KW var1 coilovers I want to go lower on the rear but can't due to the uneven nature of the e36 it's RHD so the drivers side sits lower than the passenger side so I have to adjust the passenger side right down to the max and the drivers about 10-15mm off max lowering just so it'll sit level. Any cures for this?

^ yup. There should never be an "uneven" car. If there is, you have some major frame and body issues.

I don't need new coilovers dude they are new!
All e36s sit uneven ie drivers side is lower so when there's passengers in the car it levels out.
As it stands at the min it is even as I've adjusted it as low as I can without compromising the level look. But I wanna go lower. I'm sure there's different thickness rubber spring pads that can be bought from the dealers but unsure which one to change and what thickness to use.

          Some BMW newbies here.

To both of you, the E36 sits higher in the drivers side, so when you get in it the car levels out.
He has an RHD model, and his passenger side sits higher, because BMW did not do anything to it.

You can adjust the coilovers just as you want mate, to get it even.
I had a set of KW V1 and they rode fine.

Do I need to remove one rear adjuster?

try removing boh adjusters and rubber spring seats, then put the rubbers back in the side which needs them.

Won't no spring pads damage my springs?

i would keep the rubber spring cushions in. but removing the locking height adjustment perches should level you out.

removing the rubers wont damage your springs. fronts dont have rubber...
plus it will gain you about 8mm more lows.

Never knew that. That's crazy. I just assumed sagging suspension.
