Gaz Coilovers - Question

Hi,
Am in the process of ordering some Gaz GHAs, but wanted to check something before ordering them.
Are the stubs welded to the strut tubes? If they are, I'll struggle to get them certified in New Zealand, as it's a rule here that you can't weld cast steel.

My struts are from GAZ. The welding is right at the bottom. I only have this pic of them...
