E34 Coilover qeustion

Ok I have the new jom direct fit coilover set up for my e34. im tossing out the front shocks that came with the kit to go with a shorter shock and cut the strut housing so i can tuck my style 5s...

What are my options for a shorter front shock? When ordering the shocks what do i look for. Brand? Part numbers? Size? I've heard that Corrado shocks work but which ones?
G60, vr6 or are they all the same?
