what would be the best way to go to get my rear end to sit just right?

i feel like switching from leafs to coilovers would be a time consuming money hungry bitch?

    any ideas?

flip the axle on leaf springs for a cheaper low... or buy coils and mounting brackets... or buy a ford explorer rear axle...

Explorer axle will gain you 1.5'' inch wider. And about a 4'' drop because it sits over the leafs instead of under with the possibility of more if you get blocks/raised hangers and such, but notching will be necessary for anything over 5-6''. For it to bolt-on directly you will need 2 pass-side explorer u-bolts plates (for the right shock mounts)

If you really want coilovers(just to be adjustable height) you would have to go 4-link setup but this is time, money and experience consuming... You need to know what you're doing otherwise it will end up in junk.

Maybe just getting right brackets to put coilovers instead of shocks would do it, but drivibility would just suk.
