Hello does anyone know how low i should go for my golf ? I live in mass and the roads are kind of shitty but i still want to lower my car. any suggestions?
Slam it to the ground and learn how to drive a slammed car. The "Roads around me are terrible" is a terrible excuse for not lowering a car unless you live in the Alps. Then its a little different.
But just get some coils and then keep going lower until you feel like it is too low.
I dunno, from personal experience driving a car slammed with 1in or less clearence gets old after a while... Dont get me wrong I love the look, and its even fun throwin sparks down the highway, but every day... Just get coils, you can adjust the hight to find whats perfect for you, plus they are cheap for veedubs.
you should buy a kw hls system. it is coilover with a hydraulik motor insinde. you can raise or lower the car roundabout 45mm. no kompressor, no tubes, no valves. just a "normal" coilover
my mk3. raceland coils with tons more room to go(didnt remove helper springs yet) ,
just about no more clearance for the oil pan or subframe, only 1" left of clearance for pan. they ride....
ehh ok (crap) for where their at. bouncing all day errday
just save for air... in the long run youll probably end up with it anyways owning a vw

Seeing as I know Xtra Big Kahuna from outside S|W, I have to say x2 on this. While the ride will be terrible, and it may feel like you need to go to the chiropractor, just go for it, you'll be glad you did.
