  • Going lower on e46 !

Hey whats up guys ! Well lately I've been thinking of going lower, right now
I'm on Rokkor coils before anyone says anything I've been running them for a year and
a half with no problems. I am a highschool student so these were basicly my only option of the time.
Back to the question, Im thinking of going lower but my collars are already
turned all the way down and I cant seem to get as low as I want? Is there any other way of going lower like taking out the helper springs or something else? Would greatly appreciate the info !

Taking out the helper springs, and if that doesn't get you to where you want. We can sell you some shorter springs.

Take out helper springs, cut bumpstops and replace the original topmount if you use that to a one that is shoter for example most of the camber plates out there. (So the dampner comes further up)

And for the rear take out the adjusters, and the rubber plates.

If that wont help you to get the car as low as you want you might consider other springs.

So when I take out the helper springs do I have to raise up the collars?
So it can make up for the helper spring? ? And I know about the top mounts, im ordering camber plates next month actually. Thanks for the help man!

^^^^ This is where I want to be at, maybe a little lower
right now I can only tuck some of the tire not even close to tucking rim.
So like I said when you took off your helper springs did you need to raise up the collars?

hey i really dont want to thread jack but i need some help asap! im trying to get my e46 lower as well, but im on kw v2 coilovers. i tried to lower the collars on the coils but they became seized. so i took it to a hobby shop and ended up dismantling the coilover to be able to finally adjust the collar lower. my problem now is i cant re-assemble the coilover because there is no coil compressor that properly fits these small A$$ springs. i think i can take the helper springs off and that will allow me to reassemble the coilover, are there any negative effects of taking the helper springs off?

Installed them w/o helpers or bumpstops, so I cant help you there.... But if you remove the helpers and raise the collars, what is the point in removing the helpers...? Do you have any pics of your car that cant go lower?
