  • Questions/info/-a/s/l?

Hey there, I've got some 02' wrx wagon springs that i bought from a memeber on the subaruforster board, to put on my 03 XS. I just called a local spring /suspension garage and he told me it'd be about 700 bones to do the job, per 78$ per hour for labor @ roughly 9 hours.

My question isn't necessarily is that true labor time? And would buying a spring compression tool and doing the job myself be wise with help with semi-knowledged friends?

    any thoughts? or ?

Thats probably one of the easiest jobs to do on a car. it should take 2 hours TOPS. He is clearly trying to jerk you like i have never seen anyone try to attempt and i've been around some shit bags.

Do it yourself, its the same procedure for any car so if you find a diy it will most likely apply. PS you can rent a spring compressor from auto zone or the like.

thanks guys. that's what i was figuring but i figured I'd triple check everything . i also told the guy on the phone that i could probably do the job quicker in his garage, but he wasn't too happy with that, so anyways there are some good write-up on it around and so it's off to the cloud and getting closed to a slammed wagon!

            David!

It's a DIY job for any car enthusiast, I think. Then you can claim you did it yourself, which is always a bonus.
