  • e36 coilover and tire fitment question

I have messed around with a few calculators and i am still confused/worried if my tires will rub after my suspension up grade.

Here is what i will have.

    Suspension: Racelands
    Rims: e46 style 44s
    Size: 17 by 8 et47
    tire: 225 45

Anyone know if i will need to get spacers?
If no one wants to give me the outright answer could someone show me how i can learn this issue on my own?

    Thanks

I seriously doubt you'll rub at that ET and tire width. I'm running ET13s (34mm closer to centerline) and 40/205s with no rub. You shouldn't NEED spacers, but to get a more flush look you'll probably want to get some.

You will need spacers for sure. to the tune of 10-15mm to clear the coilover. you can add up to 40mm spacers depending on what you're going for.

We will be making him getting wider/lower et wheels... no spacers necessary for him
