Hello, so after failing to find any setup made to lower a w210 4matic benzos I have resorted to cutting the springs for a stance that works. I am interested in any input or experiences people have had cutting springs. I am also wondering where to buy the pads #1, #2 ect people speak of to assist in adjusting the ht. Can someone give me some details on what these pads are and any other knowledge you can drop. THX

cutting your springs is fine, not very comfortable but its a good fix for a short time. just make sure its only temporary. you will end up blowing your shocks.

Besides switching out pads, what other low cost additions should be made while having the suspension apart? Is camber adjustment simple as in a couple bolts and nuts or does it involve new arms ect..?

instead of cutting, check out australia's k-mac engineering. kevin's team makes custom sport, lowering springs for decades for benz, as well as camber/toe adjustment kits.
good points:
service/delivery is fast/good/inexpensive
quality&prices on par with H&RRollin' Biodiesel in the Bluegrass

you need special bolts to adjust the camber/caster. you can get them at the dealer for less than $40. you dont have alot of choice for adjustment, there is basically 3, in out, and center. if you want alot of camber you will have to notch the sub frame.
check lower control arm bushings for tears. 210's also like to eat lower ball joints. also check the spring cups, they sometimes like to tear off the sub frame. re welding them is pretty straight forward.
you will have rubber pads in place. you can reuse them with out issue.
