    There is absolutely no issue with removing the bottom locking collar as long as they are spun all the way down. Otherwise you're going to have to do something with mounts and whatnot, nothing left to do on the coilover itself.

      do your coilovers have helper springs? in my old Polo i removed these plus the bump stops and it gave me over 30mm more drop

        having the same issue with my ground controls.... is cutting a coil a terrible idea? granted i dont care about the one or so less inch of suspension travel that i will be losing.

          I have heard of people cutting out a section of the strut on your front coils and welding it back to get lower in the front, don't know if someone suggested it already
