  • Battery dies after car sits for many days (around a week).

So if I'm out of town for a whole week and I get home and try turning over the car it doesnt. It has died on me three times now. But if I dont drive it for 3 days or so everything is fine. Is there a way that if I go on vacation that my battery isn't dead by the time I get to use the car again?

I'm assuming it draws power even though my key isnt in the ignition, not sure why though if E-Level doesnt automatically raise my car after some air leaves the bags when it sits for days but yet the battery can die.

Thank in advance for the help!

E-Level does not do any monitoring duties when the vehicle is shut down, and the amount of power it pulls while the ignition if off should be minimal.

You have either a parasitic draw somewhere or a battery that's at the end of its lifespan. I would pop the negative cable off your battery, put an ammeter inline, and see what the draw looks like. If it looks like there's something drawing off the battery, start pulling fuses until you find what's pulling power.

I had just the same issue. But I called the dealer and they took my car, and in the end it appeared to be that when I was driving, I hill the bigger stone, I did not notice it really, but connections were damaged and it just did not connect to transmittion

when i installed my air over the summer my battery was getting zapped i thought. Even though i was hooked up to key on power. Come to find out, my battery was just at the end of its life. Replaced the battery and it's been kosher since. This is a car that is maybe driven 1 time a week IF it is nice out. But it goes stretches of weeks without being moved.

I own a m37s bought in 2012 new.i installed air this past summer.at end of summer.stopped driving to shows and it sat for days. Battery was dying after 4 days.thought it wad air draining it.checked my battery.it was original battery from dealer.went and bought a interstate megatron plus.now its flawless. Left it parked for 7 days no starting it up.started it on my 8th day it started right up.no problems.so it was the old battery.my car was a 2011 so original battery was 4 years old.

              Metzger,

I've got E-Level as well, and whenever I leave the car sitting for a while I pull the fuse in the E-Level harness (in line with the red wire) and let it sit without the fuse while I'm gone. That seemed to solve the problem for me, and is very easy to do!

Hey, so what is the solution to this? I have the same issues and also have e-level, I figured I need a new battery since its a auto zone generic brand and that it might resolve my issues.

start with a new battery if you are unsure of it's health. You could also just hook the car up to a trickle charger when you are not driving it although it can be a pain in the balls sometimes to do that.
