Help with parts.

Hi,
My name i s Andreas, i live in Sweden.
I want to put airbags on my mercedes w115.
The problem is that i dont know what parts i need.
Is it possible to get a kit for around 1000$ ?
The shipping to sweden will be around 2-300.
I have seen kits on ebay for around 5-600, is it all crap?
So can you please help me put together a kit.
Write down brand, model, price. webpage and so on.
I can build the airtank , I guess the shipping for that will cost more than the tank.

You can get a very basic manual management system with paddle valves from Bag Riders for about $700 if you can provide your own air tank.

I believe Slam Specialties SS-5 bags have been used successfully on the W114/W115 chassis, though you'll need custom brackets fabricated to adapt the bags to your spring pockets and you will have to relocate the rear shock absorbers. SS-5s are about $100 a piece.

You'll also need to budget somewhere around $100 for miscellanea: 1/2" MNPT to 1/4" PTC fittings for the bags, a safety valve at whatever pressure you choose to run your tank at, and wiring for the compressor.

If you can fabricate the bag brackets, relocate the rear shock absorbers, and fabricate an air tank yourself, that would put you around $1200 plus shipping for a very basic setup.

That kit will work, though you'll need a healthy number of additional fittings to piece it all together. You'll also need a fused wire of appropriate gauge to run from your battery to the compressor relays and a distribution block of some description to split the feed cleanly to the two relays.

I would also consider ditching the pressure switch included in that kit, and getting one that goes all the way to 200 psi, if the tank you're building will be rated that high. Otherwise you're wasting some of the capacity of those Viair 444cs.

What size do i need on the compressor?
found some kit in sweden with everything except the bags.
I can choose from Viair 380, 444 or 480.
Tank size around 4-5 gallon.
1/4 hose. Is that enough?

Any of those compressors are fine. 480s noticeably faster than 380s or 444s. 380s are going to be pretty slow on that large of a tank.

I would choose between 1/2" hose and 3/8" hose. For most systems, 3/8" line works great. 1/2" will allow the bags to fill and deflate about 2x faster than 3/8" (assuming no other restrictions in the system), so if you're looking for a "fast" system, it's the better option. I only recommend 1/4" line for people who are running paddle valves - otherwise, the decreased wall thickness compared to 3/8" makes it a less desirable option.

I strongly recommend you build a 4-way system to avoid the cross-flow between bags when cornering that occurs with 2-way systems.
