Bag over coil or cups, Advice please!

hi all,

ive just ordered my struts for my bmw 1602, gaz are making them for me.

they are removing 100mm from the strut to start with and then will be giving me 75mm of thread below this to give me some more adjustment.

so my question is, can i replace the springs with bags or cups? if so which ones could i use?

my thinking was that if i lower the adjustment on the thread down to the base setting (so itll be 175mm lower) i could use the bag or cup to bring the car up.

can anyone let me know if they have any experience with doing this?

also i am looking for a kit just for the front for now

Air cups are only meant to be driven in the raised position for short distances, such as driveways or speed bumps. They're for people who need to raise their height, not lower it. It sounds like you want to be able to go lower than your ride height, so bags will be a better choice.

thanks for this! i had air on my previous car and thought i would be able to cope with static, but the truth is i dont think i will

i wasnt too sure about air cups as its not something you see over here in the uk that often.

i will look into a bagovercoil setup and hopefully be able to give myself the drop i need
