MK5 sway bar brackets on Mini struts?

I have the Bag Riders Slayer series MINI specific struts, and they don't have any front sway bar brackets. I was wondering if maybe the MK5 sway bar brackets would fit around the threaded body and if they would be tight enough after being tightened down to work properly.?
Just wasn't sure if the bracket was too big for the threaded bodies or not.

The Mk5 sway bar brackets will not fit on the threaded body struts because the threaded bodies have a diameter of around 50mm while the sway bar brackets from Dorbritz Designs have a diameter of 55mm.

You could fab up a shim to make up the 5mm difference

No problem, try copper, I used it all the time for bicycles when people had 20mm spindles and companies only manufactured 22mm bottom brackets, just get a tube with a 50mm inner diameter and go from there
