  • Air ride for Mercedes SEC W126/C126

    Can anyone help me?

I've seen a couple of custom air ride setups but very little detail on how they were done on the W126. I've not found an off the shelf solution.

    The issue is this angle

To me a double bag would seem more suitable !

Run a double bellow bag, like the SS5/6. Those bags, I'd recommend the 6's because you'll get more lift, with universal plates and an afternoon with a welder and you're set. You have to place a plate in the spring cup and on the control arm, tack them in place, bolt the bag in and jack the arms up and check clearances and angles.

We made a pivot for the bottom bag mount on skrapez's w126. The control arm angle changes too much to not have one.

        Thank you guys for replying.

So being a total noob with zero knowledge, is this the kind of thing you'd need to do yourself or is it something that a competent bag shop/suspension specialist/whatever would be able to do?

Being based in the UK, we're a little limited for specialists. The idea of a pivot plate seems to make sense, but custom fab makes me need to have 100% trust in the person doing the work.

I myself are also interested about this topic.
Could somebody maybe share some more detailed pictures of W126 airbag solutions?

Yes me too, looking for this for quite a while now. Cant find any good pictures of the fabrications needed to make this work.
