Hey I have been thinking about going to air ride. I have heard of running bags on coilovers. I have bc coilovers now. What are the pros and cons? Is it a terrible idea? Will it fubar the coilovers? I have read of a few installs but never any follow ups on ride quality etc. they don't really make a direct for bag kit for my car. I have emailed bagriders about getting a kit from them and the custom setup is pricey. Thanks for the input.

Bag on coil setups?

I know there are D cups you can put on coil overs which stay deflated but if you need to raise the car a bit they can inflate on top of the coil over. unfortunately these have to be custom made and are not reliable to drive on aired up for long distances. The only reason you'd want this is if your coil overs went so low you get stuck over bumps and want help getting over them without going full air-ride.Here's to the automotive culture.

Bag-over-coil setups work pretty well for most cars but they won't ride as nice as an actual air strut that was designed for your car. The coilovers were not designed to be maxed out one way or another so a bag-over-coil setup will put a bit more wear and tear on your coilovers.
