  • porsche 924 ,air ride question?

hey guys i have a 81 Porsche 924 turbo and im looking into baggin it. Most of my concern is in the rear considing it has torsion bars , so im not sure what would be better spring bags or sleeve struts. Also the fact that my tranny is in the rear, so the factor of weight comes into play. But as for the front it should be pretty simple considering the suspention setup is much different from you basic mklll jetta. I have never bagged a car before so my apologeze for all the detail and odd questions. If anyone could help or maybe some tip that'd be great , trying to get as much information as possible.

    thanks

should be able to use any universal bag, management will be easy as well as running lines etc

I suggest you look up places that are local, bring the car to them and see what they say

    I miss my '83 944 so much

After looking a bit at a 924 rear suspension, it seems most road racers are removing the torsion bars and putting coilovers in the stock shock location - you should be able to take the same route but with sleeve bags over the shocks. Up front, you are right, they look near identical to Mk3 hardware, so I'd imagine a simple bag-over-strut will work for you there as well.
