Universal bags on OEM e28 struts?

New to air, so bear with my ignorance. I simply dont understand how these bags work. Are they for cars that dont have coilovers? because i dont see any place up top for the top of the strut to come through.

ALSO These bags. they talk about putting these on with coil overs and using the adjustable perch for them to sit on.


I dont want to do that. I just want to put these on my stock perches possibly with some cutting of the perches to make it fit or w.e.

I just want to replace my stock e28 springs, with bags. thats it. Is it even possible? or am I just a cheap ass poor student? I am willing to do SOME fabrication to make it work. im a noob looking to be denoobified

While you might be able to modify the front struts enough to take a bag over coil style setup, you will really struggle in the rear without purchasing a sleeve style rear strut to make things work, due to the narrow upper diameter of the strut tower. And at that point if you are doing management/compressor/tank/rear sleeve struts, it makes sense to just do the proper front struts as well.

Yeah eh. Well that's what i thought i was gonna hear. Ive read that article (along with just about every other piece of literature online for bagging an e28) about 5 times now And Sourced And Priced Everything lol. Its just the 2grand price tag that My Bank Account Has a hard time with.

Just Trying To Have Some Control Over My Ride Quality And Refrain From The Downfalls Of Cut Springs.
