  • Bag over strut sleeve type

    Hi,

Does anyone know if anybody makes these? As in a bag which can effectively go straight over a coilover strut?

    Thanks.

http://www.universalairsuspension.co...ion-p-127.html Sure seems like these would work. Ive been doing a bit of research on the subject myself, let me know if this helps.

No one makes a sleeve style bag that is designed to go over a coilover. Your only option would be to go with the Universal Air Aero Sport bags but they are pretty large in diameter which doesn't always work out.

Do the front bags in the kit I posted not slide over a strut?

They do indeed. Those are the same bags I mentioned. The Aero Sports. The OP is looking for a sleeve style bag that will go over the strut. The Aero Sports are considered a single bellow or single convoluted bag which is a lot larger in diameter than what the OP is looking for.

well there is a basic cup style system that raises the front by 50mm and fits over your coilovers.

newb question time I'm currently doing a bag over coil setup on my 350z front struts right now (BC coilovers) I have the brackets from Universal and universal air aero sport bags. My question is on the bags bottom bracket do I have to have it so that it wont move aka weld the bottom bracket to the coilover collar, or lock it down some other way? Or would I leave it floating like the original conventional spring and set the preload collar by using the freestanding height of the bag?

Most people will just leave it floating around there but you can definitely weld or bolt it down to the collar if you really wanted to.

problem with leaving it floating is that the bag will spin its not an if the bag will spin it will and that will cause the air line to wrap around the strut when this happens you run the risk of ripping the line out of the bag or the line getting pulled between the strut and the tire and rubbing either way its no bueno
