  • Air ride for E90?

Well, since one of my struts on my BC coils blew, I think it's time to switch over to air ride. I've been looking around for some, and only see Ksport. It looks nice and all but can't justify to spend that much, especially since Christmas is around the corner. If I can get better for a lower price that'll be awesome.

Also, since I'm new to the air world, I need to have some knowledge about it..been trying to look up some threads on Air suspension; any good recommendations? Or any advice/tips?

    08 328i btw. Thanks guys!

Unfortunately no one makes an inexpensive setup for the E9X platform. Airrex would probably be your best bet and the suspension for all four corners starts at $2,164. We have a custom setup on our E92 which uses Air Lift Subaru struts and comes with camber plates and endlinks for $2,395. The least expensive management pack you can choose from is the Manual for $595. Depending on how fancy you want to get, the management packs will go up from there.

Sweet. Not too bad then. Does the AirRex come with camber plates? I need those :x, lol. Also what is the diff between the managements? I know the elevel makes sure it has perfect psi in each bag or something like that. But, what's so "fancy" about them. I really don't mind the manual one, just up and down is fine with me haha. Thanks btw!

The AirRex struts don't come with front camber plates but they are an option for another $250. When deciding on the management, the first thing to consider (which I think you did) is whether or not you want preset ride heights. eLevel is a height based leveling system that has three preset ride heights as well as an all out (pancake) button. When you add more weight to the car, the eLevel system will recognize the car's change in height and will automatically fill the corresponding bags to level it back out. It doesn't make sure each bag has the exact psi but it does make sure the car is back at your preset height.

If you don't really need presets, I would recommend going with either the Analog or Switchspeed managements.

The manual management is great but the only issue with it is the fact that you will have to run 12 lines behind the dash to the paddle valves and gauges. The E90 just doesn't really have a great place to mount them so going with a system that has a controller (switch box) will make life a little easier.

Bringing this thread back from the dead with an update in case anyone stumbles across it through their online travels.

We now have E90 full kits on our site which feature Bag Riders' very own front struts for both RWD and AWD applications! Full kits will start out under $3,000.

We ended up taking them off the site for now because we are going to update the e90 AWD section with a couple of new rear kits. Shoot me an email for more info

Probably one of the best companies i have dealt with. They care more about helping you then money, less than i can say about my coilover company
