Pivoting lower airbag mount

I was planning the rear suspension set up for my Mercedes w115. I was wondering if this setup would work or if the bottom mounting needs to be fixed like top one. Its a rough sketch and not to scale. I plan to use an RE6 airbag (not a bag with a shock inside) I've never installed airbags so I don't know if it would flop sideways or rise straight. I thought of this so the airbag won't work crooked and I'll be able to use the factory shock mounting bolt

Are you planning on relocating the rear shocks?

Yes, not sure exactly where, but I saw another W115 with shock relocated behind the shock, connected to the backside of the lower control arm.

To answer your question in a word, no.

A pivoting lower would only work if you were using a shockwave or the like, as the shock running through it makes it rigid enough to have a pivoting lower mount. An RE6, although strong and rigid, its not rigid enough for this sort of application. the pivot wont stay straight and it will colapse.

It might work for all of a few muntes, but you will tear the bag in the process.
