Sadly i have these on my 01 Teg, also because i couldnt afford anything else.
16x8 is fine, thats what i've got. When you repaint them pop out the fake rivets and fill them.

I'll be looking at 949's for round 2.

It may look good from 50ft away but as you get closer the quality(fit/finish) just screams garbage. Your car will never get any real respect running cheap wheels. Especially now days with so many building there cars the right way with quality superior products.

Just any fyi to everyone, there's two types of ways to rock "fake wheels".

-You have the OP who's all like "ZOMG I rock fake wheels cuz i'm poor and fuck you if you don't likez it bitchezzzz cuy they mad-tyte!"

-And then you have a guy like me. I too am rocking "fake wheels" (XXR 521's) for the simple fact that I liked they way they looked, were within my budget, and are a nice hold me over wheel until a used set (no longer in production) of the wheels I truly desire, which are 16" AME Shallen LX's (let me know if you know of a set that's for sale!)

Im gonna throw myself out there on this. I have been on the XXR team now for 5 yrs. To me I look at is as preference rather than fake or real. Fake to me is something that is not real. Obviously you are looking at a wheel on a car therefore its not fake. LOL. I seriously can't come to myself spending 2-10k on wheels. With that, I would rather redo my living room, buy all my kids everything they want for the next 2 months HAHAHA, or buy season tickets to a favorite sports team. I love seeing people with nice or "real" rims too, but for me that's the farthest I get to owning it. Budget is what makes or breaks me.

This has also become an issue now with new people that want to go to meets, shows, etc. The people that cant afford the cool kid mods dont go to these because the cool kids disrespect them on what they have and they never show up again and feel shut down. Next thing you know you lose followers in certain fourm boards because people become disrespectful because of what people can afford.

People can **** on me all they want about my XXR background, but you know what they show'd me a lot of love compared to some friends I have that never even get a return phone call from "legit" wheel companies on questions they have. Trust me I know a few people in the "wheel corp" game and they just love taking your money rather than how it looks on your car.

c'mon guys leave the guy alone. i come from another car community and i dont want to burn bridges here esp. cause im new. but believe it or not, others are just in a better financial state than others. that being said, the guy just wants to be a part of the community.

i do believe in never settling for mediocrity when it comes it things ( rims in particular) but the guy isnt a poser and wants to achieve the look flush look without the bashing and the harassment.

so please let the guy ask the questions and ******, just sit this one out.



as for OP: go with 16x8 with 0et. make sure you have decent coils,camber kits,and spacers if you go with the 16's flush+poke look otherwise it wont stand out.
