  • to trade or not to trade? Raze VS. Rays lol

heres the situation. i have these wheels that are in my signature:

    18x8.5 Raze Rz4 and 18x9.5 rears

for a perfect fitment i planned to get 215/45/18 all around and a rear fender roll. the front is coming down another inch in a week or so, no matter what cause of my new lower front springs for the coilovers.

i like the fitment, the poke in the rear and i like the gold color on my smoke.

but someone wants to trade me 19x8 and 19x8.5 G35 rims from Rays. they are the stock polished color, and look like this in the rear of the altima.

    he has 225/40/19 all around.

he wants my rims plus $200 cash for his rims. i think they will look great stuffed under my slammed car. they wont poke out, but will look fresh. also they are authentic Rays.

should i or should i not? i can go ahead and have a perfect stance with my current gold rims, or just stay simple and clean with these. what do ya think?

Ehhh idk either way its gonna need some work. 19s fill up the arches better on your car I'd say.

thats kinda what im thinkin. it will guarantee tucking tire, wheras the 18s it will tuck a little bit with stretch is needed. the pic i posted there the coils are raised up like 1.5 inches or more. when they were lowered all the way the tire rubbed bad everytime i turned lol. but thats what a 245 on a 9.5 will do lol so if i do the 215/45 on the 9.5 and roll them it wont rub. but i kinda like the 19s too. uuggh

              G35 wheels look better IMO.

And then you could space them!

                Problem solved.

well the thing is if i got the G35 rims i wouldnt bother with spacin them out in the rear or front. they would just tuck a little, and look simple and clean. if i want to keep the poke look with stretched tires i will do that with my current gold 18s. i agree that the G35s look good and that real always trumps reps, but i like gold so much that if i got the G35s i would powdercoat them gold maybe.

but yeah if i go with the G35s, they will just stay like they are. however i dont think the guy is going through with the trade anyway. so im gonna just get the right tires for the gold wheels, make a proper appearance, then sell everything and watch from the sidelines. its rougher than most having this much low and daily drivin this thing. the subframe hangs too low as it is without the new lower springs im putting in the front

At the end of the day the decision is up to you dude..

I think the polished stock finish looks better then the gold, But you dont, I think the g35's would look awesome with a slight bit of poke, But you would prefer to tuck..

My Legend doesnt look low, hell I even have a slight gap at the front, but ive already dragged my sump.. The excuse of the car being a Daily isnt really valid in my eyes... Some see it differently, which is fine. Like I said, you'll do what you decide

                      man i told you so!

i had to raise mine because it was too low for me, i couldnt get anywhere, had right around an inch of clearance at subframe, less than that in the y-pipe area fucking fwd

i think the g35 rims look alot better and deff fill out the wheel well

id do the trade if it was up to me, i think the simple and clean look would work well on your car

thanks for the input, and i dont want people to get me wrong about my daily. its not an excuse at all, i dont mind dodging everything and its fun to hear stuff go crack! but what i meant to say was if the choise is there its easier to go clean and not so aggressive. not that im bailing out but i mean i could go either way at this point.

i dont think the guy is gonna trade anyway. unless i can sell my rims and buy his.
