  • E30 17" fitment

    Hi guys,
    I want to buy a e30 soon, and i have a set of Rondell 58 wheels on 17", 8.5J ET13 front and 10J ET15 rear.
I want to save this wheels for the e30. They are 5x120 but i thought i could use adaptors for 4x100.....and here is my problem:
If I use 20mm adapters ( because that is the size of them) to 4x100, the wheels will be:

    8.5J ET13+20mm= ET -7?
    10J ET15+20mm= ET -5?

Well, I don't now if even that is possible, but that is why i thought to ask here.

Is there any way to pull that of? And is it worth it or it would look like crap?

And a pic of the wheels.

    10x,
    Alex.

thats going to be really agressive. 17x8.5 et13 will fit about right as is, that extra 20mm is going to poke, and a good amount. Perhaps look into a redrill?

Unfortunately, i can't find smaller adapters, 20mm are the smallest.
The other options is to make the 5 lug conversion, but i would go with the adapters first

Well thats what i mean, you are right, 20mm is min for most, i think adaptec does 18s. Anyway, if they are fill n drill able, that might be your best bet. e36 m3 5 lug is going to pus those wheels out almost as much as adapters anyway, leaving only e30 m3 5 lug, fully pulled fenders, or flares.

( alot of stretch and negative camber might be able to cram those in)

It's definitely possible with stretched tires and a bit of neg. camber. Also fender pulling will definitely have to be done. But those wheels on an e30? They don't really fit the style, IMO.

              Pics for reference

17x8.5 et3 up front, no camber

              17x10 et20 out back

your wheels would stick out a little less than a half inch more out front and a full inch out back. Not that hard to do with really pulled fenders and skinny tires, but like Stephen said, try to see if they can be redrilled first.

See about getting the wheels milled as well. A decent amount can be shaved off of the mating surface to raise the offset a bit.

would that not depend on brake caliper clearance aswell?

or just dont get 17's. we all know that super wide 16's are right for an e30
