  • Bent wheel balancing?

So it seems to be that one of my wheels has a bend in the inside lip.

it doesnt seem to be bad but can it be balanced when my tires are installed or should i ditch them over all?

I'm rather pissed. you really cant see the bend at all and it is noticible when you roll the wheel across a flat floor

depending on how fucked it is, they can weight it to offset the bend. bring it to someplace reputable

weights dont help the bend. they can balance out fine on the machine but you will still feel the bens when you drive. usually only at higher speeds. but depends on how bad it is....ps. i work at a tire shop.

most discount tires have a tool that takes out small bends. Point it out to the tech and they might be able to take care of it for you for free.

You can always try and hammer out the bend with a rubber mallet and piece of wood. I did some decent damage to my inner barrel lip and had it balanced out while waiting for a new barrel and it vibrated a little bit at around 75mph but wasn't too bad and I drove on it for about 500 miles before replacing the barrel

We call it the dog-bone on account of it's shape, and we only use it on steel wheels. If it's bad it's going to vibrate no matter what like vin said. If they're not staggered mount it on the passenger rear, and try to ignore it. Also some alloy wheel repair places are decently priced, like about $100 a wheel. Shop around!
If your having stance problems I feel bad for you son.
