cheap tire question ACHILLES

hey i notice that a lot of guys who stance just to stance on this site have cheap tires. even on some expensive benz OEMs and Work wheels, and BBS u still see cheap tires. when i mean cheap i mean Nankang, Nexen, Walni etc. i drive my car daily and i have 18x8.5 that i want 215/40/18s for. on ebay i found Achilles tires. anyone heard of them? i just want some cheap tires so i can start rolling on my rims. i just need two 215/40/18 and cheaply priced. on ebay their $150 shipped for both brand new. i had nakangs before and never really had a problem. so somebody lemme know if they heard of problems with Achilles. other than that i can get 2 nankangs for like 200 shipped but then i might as welll look for a full used set. on a VERY tight budget

btw im gonna run my 245/40s on the 18x9.5 rears for a while till i find someone who stretches, then i will stretch a 225/40 on the 9.5.

well if they do the "job" ill buy them! lol. im finding a lot of 225/40s used but i want as much stretch as i can in the 8.5s and a 205/40 would be too much for me, dont need that much. they are a 25 offset so they will be fine with a 215.

as long as your not doing "performance" driving, they will be ok...they may be alittle loud due to the rubber being hard/firm

ehh my old 225/40 conti extremes were loud too. and yes i do not performance drive lol im all stock motor just looks over here

my friend has achilles and they seem really soft compared to other tires.

this might not answer your question about achilles. but if you want cheaper tires, you should just google map local tire shops around your place, preferrably the ghetto ones (since they will mount, balance, and stretch them for you with no problem with liability issues like the legit expensive tire shops) and you will even be lucky enough to find brand name used tires about 60-80-90% tread left. it all depends. i never buy brand new tires. this is what i always do. and i always get falkens, toyos, federals, dunlop etc. etc for my 18's for only $25-35$ bucks per tire. idc personally if brand name or not anyway since i dont drive my car crazy. and its worth getting cheap used tires if you just camber wear it anyway. try it man. sorry so long.

AMEN to this man, same way i think. i moved out of Philly few months ago, but im only 15 minutes away and thats exactly what imma do this weekend since ill be there. i totally forgot about the cheap ghetto stores, ive gotten a full set of stocks before for $30 each mounted. thanks for reminding me! and i too never buy new tires.
